Makers enjoy talking and sharing their knowledge with others.
In order to better facilitate this exchange of ideas,
we’re changing the Faire a little this year.

Southeast Makers Alliance Presents:

A Weekend of Making

Saturday, October 21st at Aderhold Hall of Georgia State University

MakEdu Conference (8:30am-4:00pm)- In partnership with the Alonzo A. Crim Center for Urban Educational Excellence at Georgia State.  The conference will include presentations, workshops, and demonstrations of the best of Making in Education (this event requires registration fee of $75 – reservations will open in early September)

Maker Space Summit (Time to be announced)- The Summit is a gathering of Southeast Maker Spaces to create their network and discuss items relevant to Maker Spaces.

Maker Mixer (7:00pm-10:00pm)- The Mixer is a social event for sponsors, makers, and production team to celebrate and network.  Invitation required


Sunday, October 22nd at Georgia Freight Depot

Maker Faire Atlanta 2017 (10:00am-6:00pm) – Speakers, workshops, exhibits, demonstrations, food etc.  (Registration through Eventbrite is required and will open in mid September)

Innovators Playground for Young Makers

Innovation Showcase (2:00pm-4:00pm) – pitch competition of products and ideas created in Maker Spaces throughout the Southeast

There is sure to be something for everyone!

Fee Schedule – Maker Faire Exhibitors:

There is no fee for Non-Commercial Makers as long as there are no items being sold or promoted (show and tell only). Youth Makers and Non-Profits are also free.
Commercial Makers (selling or promoting/advertising) are charged a non-refundable $100 fee upon acceptance.
Corporate Booths require sponsorship participation – we will send a sponsorship package to you upon completion of the application.
If you are unsure, please select “Other” and we will determine the category based on your description.
Please note that we are unable to accept food/beverage vendors for this year’s Faire.  If you are a food or beverage maker and you would like to show and tell about what you make (but not sell) please contact us.
