What inspired you to make this project?
Makerfaire is one of the few times where we can explore our education and community mandates in an environment that is so brimming with energy, curiosity, skills and potential. Over the year and a half that we have had our doors open we have participated in and volunteered at various STEM and STEAM events for middle and high school students. These events were held at community centers, churches and schools but Makerfaire is the one place, an open and interactive place, where we can explore as a company AND as individual Makers where we can take 3D printing here in Atlanta while at the same time giving back to our community. What better way, we thought, then to explore how 3D printing is currently being used to help people with disabilities or assistive needs?
